为弘扬茶祖文化、促进茶叶产业发展，由湖南省人民政府、中国国际茶文化研究会、国际茶业科学文化研究会、中国食品土畜进出口商会、中国茶叶流通协会、中国茶叶学会、中华茶人联宜会主协，株洲市人民政府承办，省茶叶协会、省茶叶学会、炎帝陵基金会办公室等单位参与协办的“2009年中华茶祖节暨炎帝神农茶祖大典”活动于4月10日在炎陵县举行。
